Yoga was traditionally taught in very small groups or, more often, on a one-to-one basis, enabling the student to receive more tailored instruction and adjustments. This way of learning is extremely valuable as it provides a fantastic opportunity to receive undivided attention and to ask questions based on individual needs which may require more time than a group class allows.
Beginners may choose to have a few private sessions to familiarise themselves with the basics of yoga practice before attending a group class, while students with more experience may find private tuition highly beneficial when wishing to refine a particular aspect of their practice or to strengthen areas of weakness.
Students of all levels may wish to attend private sessions to develop a home practice or to work towards a particular goal.
Whatever the reason, one-to-one yoga sessions are of enormous benefit to accelerate the student’s progress.
I offer private tuition at my home studio in London W7, where I have plenty of equipment including wall ropes.
